Compared with traditional hard disk drives SSD have several advantages. Due to lack of moving parts, such drives have better reliability, lower power and not produce noise at work.
In addition, solid disks are faster read and write data. However, the SSD has its drawbacks: they are worth much more than the hard drive and can not match them in containers.

The first SSD drives Seagate company will focus on corporate customers. In doing so, the company Seagate conjunction with the association intends to develop JEDEC standard for determining the average life expectancy of such drives. It is expected that this will help convince corporate users that SSD drives reliable traditional hard drive.

Later, Seagate will begin production of solid state drives for the consumer market. However, on an indicative timetable for the start of sales of these discs in the company release date still unknown.
