Companies Lenovo, Asus and Acer released the first notebook to support wireless technology WiMax, reports InformationWeek. Also, WiMax-laptop introduced the company Toshiba.

Lenovo offers four laptop in a series of ThinkPad, supporting work in networks of WiMax. This X301, T400, SL300 and SL500. Later they will join models ThinkPad W500, W700, SL400, T400 and X200, as well as IdeaPad Y530.
Company Acer and Asus offered two and one laptop model with support for WiMax, respectively. They are Acer Aspire 6930 and 4930, as well as Asus M50Vm. Toshiba has established a module for the WiMax network in laptop Satellite U405-ST550W.

WiMax module is part of Intel Centrino mobile platform 2, which was submitted in mid-July. It is optimized for use with high-definition video and is based on the G45 chipset with integrated graphics.

Premiere laptops with built module for the WiMax network took place a week after the launch WiMax networks in urban Baltimore, USA. The network was built by Sprint, which plans for several months to implement such projects in Chicago and Washington.
